3808E Multifunctional Hybrid Packet Broker

Carrier-Grade Bypass Packet Broker

The 3808E network bypass device is part of the Niagara Networks’ BypassP2 carrier grade product line. It’s designed to support up to two double bay field-replaceable modules, each with up to four bypass segments and integrated additional monitoring ports. This high level of flexibility allows the 3808E to be configured with up to eight 1/10/25/40/100Gb bypass segments, providing the ability to redirect traffic around network devices or links that are experiencing issues. The 3808E also includes active TAP (Test Access Point) versatility and multifunctionality, which allows for the monitoring and analysis of network traffic. Bypass devices are used to improve network reliability and availability by allowing traffic to be redirected around faulty or congested devices or links. They are commonly used in critical infrastructure such as telecommunications, data centers, and financial systems, where the impact of a network outage can be significant.
