Automatic DF Antenna (ADFA)
The Automatic DF Antenna (ADFA) that takes signals from a few different antennas and puts them together into one signal. The SignalShark controls the ADFA and figures out the direction of the signal automatically, using the one signal that the ADFA creates. The result is information about where the signal is coming from, as well as how strong it is and what kind of signal it is. The SignalShark also shows a map of where the signal is coming from in real time. You can use the ADFA with a stand, put it on top of a vehicle, or attach it to a pole.
Description
If you’re looking for a portable and easy-to-use setup to locate signals from 10 MHz to 8 GHz, the ADFA and SignalShark combo is an excellent choice. The ADFA translates signals from multiple antenna elements into a single-channel DF signal, while the SignalShark automatically determines bearings based on the single-channel DF signals. The ADFA can be attached to the roof of a vehicle using a magnetic mount adapter, and it’s also compatible with a tripod or antenna mast. The ADFA comes equipped with a GNSS receiver module and an electronic magnetic compass for interference-free reception of GPS coordinates, geographical direction, and time data.
Quick and Easy Signal Localization: The ADFA 2 and SignalShark combo is the world’s smallest setup that can accurately find signals from 10 MHz to 8 GHz with minimal effort. You don’t need any external devices or software. Simply attach the ADFA 2 to your vehicle’s roof using the magnetic base, connect it to the SignalShark, and you can start finding signals right away. For long-term monitoring, you can use a tripod. It’s fast, easy to transport and set up.
Fast and Accurate Signal Localization: With the SignalShark and ADFA, you can find the direction of a signal in just 1.2 milliseconds, which is faster than it takes to press the transmit button on a walkie-talkie. It’s super quick and accurate.
High-Quality Signal Localization: The ADFA’s nine dipole elements are arranged in a ring, which gives a stable direction finding result. The SignalShark’s intelligent localization algorithm and heatmap display provide reliable and comprehensive localization results, even in urban environments.
Spectrum Monitoring Included: The ADFA has an omnidirectional reference element, making it easy to monitor the entire receive frequency band. You can even see the signal during the direction finding process and a channel change won’t affect the visibility of the signal.
Integral Compass: The ADFA antennas come equipped with a GNSS receiver module and an electronic magnetic compass for interference-free reception of GPS coordinates, geographical direction, and time data. It’s especially helpful during stationary operation.
Azimuth Data for Direction Finding: Unlike other automatic antennas that can only determine horizontal bearings, the ADFA can also take vertical bearings, which allows it to determine the elevation over a wide range. This ensures the signal is not lost as the emitter is approached or when driving over hilly terrain. Once the SignalShark captures the signal, it doesn’t let it go.
