ALBEDO Metro.Cable is a customizable time-domain reflectometer (TDR) capable to characterize and locate faults in metallic cables of any nature (for example, untwisted lines, twisted pair wire, coaxial cable). It can also be used to locate discontinuities in a connector, bandwidth, FEXT, or any other impairment in the electrical path. It has three interfaces BNC and RJ45 to execute fault location procedures in coaxial cables and Ethernet cables, while the third interface is customizable to satisfy the necessity of fault location of non-standard cables.

Metro.Cable Customizable TDR

Metro.Cable is used to identify and repair issues in various cable types, such as those used for phone lines, internet, TV, and radio. This customizable time-domain reflectometer (TDR) offers different interfaces to support various cable types and can even test specialized cables with multiple conductors.

There are two adapters that come with Metro.Cable, the Near-end and the Far-end Active Loop adapter. The Near-end adapter lets you choose which pair of conductors you want to test. The Far-end Active Loop adapter can communicate with the Metro.Cable board and generate special test signals.

Metro.Cable has a user-friendly interface that can be controlled using a touch screen, mouse, or remote control. It is used by engineers who work with different types of cables, including those who work in telecommunications, avionics, and troubleshooting.
