Description

The MS-336 Mid Span Slit and Ring Tool is a special tool that can help you access the optical fibres inside thin-walled outer jacketed cables. This tool is designed to make it easy for you to access the fibres in the middle of the cable without damaging them.

The MS-336 is part of the MS-326 series of tools, but it is specifically designed for use with larger cables such as Cornings Minixtend HD 288 and 432 fibre count cables. This means that if you work with these types of cables, the MS-336 is the perfect tool for you.

Using the MS-336 is easy. Simply place the tool on the cable and squeeze the handles to make a slit in the jacket. Then, you can use the tool to create a ring around the cable, which will allow you to access the fibres inside.

  • Consists of 2 precision slitting grooves and 2 precision ring grooves. Grooves ranging in sizes from 7.9-8.2 & 10.7-11 mm
  • One side of the tool performs Radial/ring cuts and the other side slits the cable (longitudinal cut)
  • Indicator line on top of the unit indicates the position of the blade for accurate slitting and ringing
  • This tool is specifically designed for use on Corning Minixtend HD 288F and Minixtend HD 432F cable. Both with FastAccess
  • Replacement blades available, part number MS-336RB
  • Blades last at least 5,000 slits/cuts
