Description

Net Prowler™ Cabling and Network Tester

The Net Prowler cabling and network tester makes time consuming tasks such as setting up and troubleshooting networks faster and easier than ever before.

The Net Prowler™ is an advanced network tester that includes all of the features of the Cable Prowler™, but also has additional capabilities to identify and troubleshoot LAN issues associated with physical layer and link conditions in the network. It supports IPV4 and IPV6 protocols and can verify DHCP connectivity and DNS, as well as ping IPV4, IPV6, and URL addresses. The Net Prowler™ also has CDP, LLDP, NDP, and VLAN detection, and a TCP/UDP Throughput Test feature.

Furthermore, it can detect the presence and class of PoE per IEEE 802.3af/at with a load test for voltage drop, and report the current link speed and link capabilities for active Ethernet drops up to 1 Gbps. It also has a link light to identify the location on a hub/switch/router port, and tests CAT3/5e/6/6a Ethernet cable configuration while conducting tests for opens, shorts, miswires, split pairs, and reverses.

The Net Prowler™ supports up to eight testing and ID remotes for network and telephone cables, as well as up to 20 network and coax ID-only mapping remotes. Additionally, it has the ability to define the Network test name and cable name, and save and print all results, including cable testing and network testing.
