The Transition Networks Smart PoE+ Switches with the unique Device Management System (DMS) offers a range of value-added features to help network administrators and security integrators to implement and upgrade security networks cost-effectively. The DMS provides several valuable features including direct management of attached powered devices (PD), network diagnostics, network monitoring, and topology view. The switch can monitor the health of the PDs and automatically alarm if any threshold is exceeded, while the real-time graphical monitoring of traffic and statistics offered by DMS provides end-to-end visibility. Additionally, with the Floor View feature, the designer can import existing floor and site drawings into DMS, and even view the location of PD devices on Google Maps™. The switch supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and can supply up to 30 Watts per port, while automatically detecting PoE devices and their power class. The Auto Power Reset feature automatically monitors and resets powered devices. Additionally, the switch supports LLDP-MED, which allows end-point devices to exchange power-related information, including power priority and power value of the powered device.
