The VIAVI SmartPocket V2 is a new generation of pocket-sized and low-cost optical handheld tools for the installation and maintenance of single-mode and multimode fibre-optic networks.
The family consists of a range of optical light sources (OLS), optical power meters (OLP), and optical test kits (OMK) for power level, insertion loss measurements, and continuity checks, including the industries smallest, most compact wavelength-selective Passive Optical Network (PON) power meter (OLP-37XV2) for G/E-PON and XGS-PON/10GE-EPON deployments.
Ruggedized and optimized for use in the real world, all meters adopt a lightweight, shock-resistant, splash-proof design including high visibility backlit screen with superior battery life for extended continuous operation, backed up with multiple powering options, plus ‘instant on’ so a SmartPocket V2 is ready as soon as you are.
All test kits support an expert mode with Auto-λ for error-free detection of wavelength plus multi-λ loss testing for lightning-fast power and loss measurement in under a second, while OptiChek mode delivers instant power measurement with no wavelength configuration required. All power meters give a clear pass/fail information and include unprecedented data storage capacity supported by results download to a PC or upload to the cloud.
